What “vetted” means at VettedHeater
“Vetted” means only the checks listed on this page, done against public records as of October 22, 2026. Nothing more.
Licenses checked on Oct 22, 2026.
What we check
- Active CSLB license. The license shows CLEAR (active) status in the California Contractors State License Board C-36 Plumbing list we downloaded on October 22, 2026.
- The right class. Every listed pro holds C-36 Plumbing. Some also hold other classes (for example B, A, C-20 HVAC or C-34 Pipeline); we show those as extra classes, not instead of C-36.
- License number match. The license number on the pro's own website matches the CSLB record.
- Bond and workers' comp on the CSLB record. The CSLB record lists a contractor bond with no cancellation date, and either a current workers' comp policy or an exemption. We report what CSLB shows; we don't contact the bond or insurance company.
- Proof of water heater work. The pro's own website advertises water heater installation, replacement or repair.
- San Diego County address. The address of record on the CSLB license is in San Diego County.
What we don't check
- We don't check general liability insurance.
- We don't check or collect customer reviews, and we show no star ratings.
- We don't do background checks, inspect work, check prices or guarantee results.
- We don't check complaints or disciplinary history beyond the license status CSLB shows.
When we checked
All 30 listings were checked on October 22, 2026, and each card and profile shows its check date. Licenses change, so always confirm a license yourself at CSLB Check a License before you hire.
